The Jeanne Geiger Crisis Center hosts many events throughout the year to raise awareness about domestic violence, reach survivors who may need support, and raise funds. We strive to create opportunities to bring survivors and supporters together through a combination of small, informal information sessions and large, well-organized fundraisers. Check back to this page to see what’s coming up across the organization.
Every year on the first Sunday in October, we gather at Newburyport’s Waterfront Park to walk a scenic 3-mile route in honor of victims and survivors of domestic violence, and to raise needed funds for our programs. We are proud to say that we have now hosted this community event for over 30 years!
Our annual White Ribbon event happens each March and raises funds to support our Youth Empowerment Services – Girls Inc. of the Seacoast Area, Healthy Relationships and Bystander Education programming in area schools.
Join us March 20th at the Andover Country Club for a dynamic and heartwarming evening including dinner, testimonials from students, and a live auction supporting the YES programs.
During the pandemic, this event was virtual – you can watch videos on our YouTube channel to hear from students, board members, donors and more.
Third-party events
We are fortunate to have dedicated and generous community members who will host fundraising events on our behalf. Check back on this page throughout the year to see when these are coming up – here are a few that have become annual events:
Rising Up in Sisterhood – This women’s networking event with a silent & live auction, fashion show and more returns in June of 2025.
American Legion Charity Ride – The 4th Annual Charity Ride from Post 273 in Burlington, MA was on 9/21/24. Stay tuned for 2025’s Ride!
