Start Fundraising
Create your individual profile on JustGiving.
After you’ve registered for the walk, you can create your fundraising page. JustGiving gives you the option to donate or to become a fundraiser. Once you create your profile to become a fundraiser, then you can create a team or join an existing team.
Next Step For Team Leaders:
To become a Team Leader, create a team by clicking on the “Create a Team” link on your completed individual fundraising page.
Thank you for being committed to rallying your network of friends, family, co-workers, and neighbors to help us reach our goal! Here are some tools to help you along the way.
Don’t forget the Facebook event page to communicate with us and other walkers. We’ll also launch some fun Walk Fundraising Incentives on for top teams and fundraisers. Be sure to mark your interest or attendance on the event page!
Tips For Team Fundraising
Copy and share these easy fundraising ideas with your team to reach your goal. Work hard and have fun!
- Ask, ask, and ask again. Remember, you are raising money to help end domestic violence and to provide services to survivors and their families at no cost to them. The moment you limit whom you ask, you limit the amount you can raise!
- Share the link to your individual fundraising profile on social media, and use a graphic from our fundraising toolkit.
- Check the Walk Facebook event and JustGiving pages often to see what teams are in the lead!
- Host a fundraising dinner and ask attendees to pledge their support.
- Create a buddy system. Ask someone who cannot walk to help you collect donations.
- Suggest friendly competition between team members. Set weekly or monthly goals to beat and recognize the team member who reaches it first.
- Give something up — movie, manicure, or dinner at an expensive restaurant — and contribute what you would have spent to the Walk.
- Find out if your company has a matching gifts program. Matching gifts can double your team money. Check here on our website.

Recruit Team Members – All you have to do is ask. Recruit your family, friends, co-workers, and neighbors.
