October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The need to support survivors of domestic violence has only increased in the wake of a global pandemic — a perfect storm of factors, including increased isolation, stress from financial setbacks and economic anxiety; and a sharp increase in gun ownership; have increased risk and dangerousness for those experiencing intimate partner abuse. It’s more important than ever that we spread awareness in our communities of this critical issue and the services that are available for those who need them.

We are hosting and attending a number of virtual events throughout the month, raising awareness and empowering and engaging communities to end domestic violence. Click here to download a full list of events.
