This month, we are featuring Kate!

About Kate:

Kate is almost ten years old and while she is relatively new to Girls Inc, we feel like we’ve known her forever! She arrives with a positive attitude, ready to try anything. Kate is very kind and makes sure everyone is included. We asked her a few questions so you can get to know her better.

What has been your favorite Girls Inc. activity?

I like making friends in Girls Inc., hanging out and playing.

What is one important thing you have learned from Girls Inc.?

The most important thing I have learned in Girls Inc. is that it is okay to share your ideas even if they are different from others. It is also okay to have different ideas from others.

What is your favorite subject to learn about and why?

My favorite subject is art because you get to use your imagination and be creative. I love creating things.

What is your favorite thing about summer?

There are so many things I love about summer! I love being with my family, being with friends, playing with my brother and going kayaking.

Who is one of your role models, and why?

Myself because I don’t like copying others and I like to be myself. I also look up to Dr. Gabby Wild, she works with animals.

What is something you’re looking forward to in the next school year?

Well, this isn’t about the school year but I am looking forward to my new cat Tiger to see snow for the first time.

What do you hope you are doing 10 years from now?

Doing all the stuff I love!

How are you strong?

I am strong because I am kind, friendly and accept others.

How are you smart?

I am smart because I make good choices.

How are you bold?

I am bold because I like to try new things even though sometimes, I am scared to do it. I always end up liking it!
