Cast a vision for good from your own home.
Vision Parties are informal events hosted by friends of the Jeanne Geiger Crisis Center with the intention to educate community members about the mission and vision of the Center, its available services and programs, as well as to offer outreach for those in need. They often include a soft fundraising appeal or digital opportunity to collect donations.
Hosts, whether individuals or organizations, partner to provide the venue – homes, businesses, restaurants, churches – anywhere folks like to gather. They also invite their network of friends, acquaintances, clientele, etc. and provide light refreshments similar to what would be at a cocktail party.
The Center provides staff members to educate attendees about the Center and services provided, in addition to a survivor speaker to share their personal story and the services they accessed.
How it works:
- The Host and Center connect to determine date, time, and location.
- Host provides Center with their invitation list and contact information.
- Center sends out invitations and manages the RSVPs.
- Host provides beverages and light appetizers.
- Center provides the speakers and packets including ways to get involved.
- Guests are encouraged to ask questions.
- The Center follows-up with anyone who is interested in learning more about the work/services.
