Young people often don’t understand the “rules of engagement” for a healthy relationship, and there are few places they can go to ask questions about how to protect themselves and others.

The Jeanne Geiger Crisis Center’s Healthy Relationships and Teen Dating Violence Prevention workshops for boys, girls and non-binary students ages 13–18 teach young people how to identify abuse in a current or past relationship, as well as how to avoid entering abusive relationships with potential dating partners.

One in three girls in the US is a victim of physical, emotional or verbal abuse from a dating partner, a figure that far exceeds rates of other types of youth violence.
